As my body is crucial and so is my skin, surfaces of things developed my sense of touch since I was a child. I explore textures with the tip of my fingers and the bottom of my feet; with my skin I experience the density, hardness or softness of things and a bodily reaction is inevitable when faced with a soft polished wood or a fluffy material. My body is in constant dialogue with its environment; I feel pleasure while discovering my resonance in space, the flow of a good piece of music flows easily under my skin, I experience tension in the muscles when facing a powerful painting, my guts contract when faced with a disturbing image... Bodily tables are a set of plastic objects assimilating qualities from the organic world while developing behaviors familiars to our corporeal experience. The skin of the tables breaks through its conventional mold, grows and develops its own unique shape and texture, enticing the eyes to gaze, the hands feel and the body to react.
