SALT presents the latest works by Nathalie Khayat, based on a creative process that explores the sculptural dimensions of functional objects. Khayat trusted the flow in crafting each piece, embracing its sculptural possibilities—resulting in a collection that seems to rise organically from the depths of the sea and the natural world. Each unique piece is shaped by peeling back and molding layers of clay, seamlessly fusing contrasting elements that shift in meaning depending on their setting.
Commissioned by House of Today and exhibited during Frieze Los Angeles 2023, SALT encapsulates the refinement of contemporary design and the profound connection between nature and gastronomy.
