House of Today is a non-profit organization, committed to cultivating a sustainable design ecosystem in Lebanon, that transcends international borders. For over a decade, the organization’s overarching aim is to strengthen dialogues in the design world, expanding the reach of contemporary Lebanese designers and their creative processes, through mentoring and educating, curating collections and nurturing connections.
Dima Haidar, born in Beirut. Dima studied graphic design at LAU Beirut, from college to the world of Design and television, founder and leading part of the creative department, transforming the 2D sketches to 3D living objects, practicing technology, directing, designing, communicating, conceptualizing and creating the screen image.
From television to light design, she created a line of light in 2003, lamps achieved through distorted shapes giving the lamp a poetic yet an industrial approach.

Perfect loss of balance combining contrasting forces infused in her pieces through deconstructed elements all put together to form curvilinear fins cuts, well researched patterned, mounted and animating the space with a play of light and time story.
Dima Haidar intriguing designer, uses materials and colors in ways that imbue them with a sense of mystery. Her furniture collections are not defined by a particular type, but by the potential to create a statements pieces with cultural resonance. Her pieces daring and abstract, “if you like it, you have to like it forever”. Fusing the traditional with technology led to a unique line of furniture giving each table a new personality, a structure that is usually reserved for the architecture/outside world, she integrates the piece in our day to day life by bringing the outside beauty in.
