“Around them revolved the belief that life is indestructible; death is merely a preambule to rebirth on a higher level of being. It was a mortal named Orpheus who showed that this higher level is some- thing called art”. - Herbert Muschamp, Flora The project came from an eagerness to create a vase that would embrace the beauty of dead flowers: one where they would be admired for their dried texture, altered color, & graceful curve. A falling flower reborn in-between paradoxical straight lines, reflecting all its facets with the reflective surface of the container. This piece is an hommage to “Orpheus” whom beleived that the higher level of being is art.
