The anatomy series explores the relationships between the human body, space and the objects in between. It invites the viewer to imagine an environment where bodies infuse in the tangible space as much as they affect the invisible one. When introduced in a domestic or familiar built environment, the product engages with its surrounding and brings out, naturally, a feeling of anthropomorphic surrealism. The white ethereal appearance of the products is afforded by their thinness, and smoothness. The use of ultra-high-performance concrete, a material which is not typically used for design products, is connected to the designer's interest in materials and to her architectural practice. The Anatomy mirror can be placed vertically or horizontally. Its center is made of two reflective parts which are reminiscent of the presence of two bodies. When it is displayed together with the Anatomy console, the outline of the mirror engages in a dialogue with that of the console. Adhering to the casting ethos, each and every mirror of the series of 12 is casted in a mould of the original, with a signature engraved at the back.
