Shirine Sbaiti is a Lebanese interior and furniture designer, illustrator, and sculptor. In 2016, she founded 2d3d.space, a studio specializing in restaurant and hospitality design, which was shortlisted for the 2022 Restaurant & Bar Design Awards. In 2020, she unveiled Limbo, an artistic universe exploring anthropomorphic forms inspired by human psyche, relationships, and the collective consciousness of those living in limbo. This world manifests through illustrations, paintings, clay sculptures, and furniture.
In 2022, Limbo evolved into LimbObject, a functional art project that objectifies human features and limbs as a commentary on the Anthropocene’s potential downfall. LimbObject debuted with UNISON, a stackable stool first exhibited at Dutch Design Week 2022, followed by The Waiting Lamp, presented at Milan Design Week 2023. Each LimbObject begins as a ceramic sculpture before transforming into a functional yet sculptural piece.
In 2024, Shirine founded Souk el Fan, a community art market supporting local artists and artisans.
