The Lebanese culture is always infused into Khaled's work. He has lived in Lebanon for the majority of his life and gets most of his visual influences from his surroundings. There is a raw aspect to his designs that is a direct reflection of a city in constant growth trying to define its identity in a zone of constant conflicts. “Design Miami/ and Art Basel were always a dream for me, being part of the coming edition will certainly impact my life and my practice for the better." When speaking about the upcoming exhibition, Khaled mentions a full range of emotions from happiness, and pride to nervousness and excitement. As he will be showing a body of work almost a year in the making, he is keen to always have depth and meaning to the pieces as well as to the production process.
