House of Today is a non-profit organization committed to cultivating a sustainable design ecosystem in Lebanon that transcends international borders. For over a decade, the organization’s overarching aim is to strengthen dialogues in the design world, expanding the reach of contemporary Lebanese designers and their creative processes, through mentoring, educating, curating collections and nurturing connections.
Reared in a Lebanese environment in its creative and heterogenous backdrop we, Amanda and Jo, went from being simple, young observers of the local culture to creators.
This was not a simple task as we underwent a thorough education at the Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts (ALBA), where we earned our Masters Degrees in Interior Architecture and specialized in Product Design.
As we both nurtured our talents and skills wielding and shaping various new materials, we found ourself delving deeper into the world of design, finding our way into the hearts of design lovers and earning recognition on various fronts as we brought a fresh new breath to the industry.
We then stepped up our game and ran interviews on high profile media and exhibited our products in Beirut, Salone del Mobile Milano and Design Days Dubai, hence basking in worldwide exposure.
