House of Today is a non-profit organization, committed to cultivating a sustainable design ecosystem in Lebanon, that transcends international borders. For over a decade, the organization’s overarching aim is to strengthen dialogues in the design world, expanding the reach of contemporary Lebanese designers and their creative processes, through mentoring and educating, curating collections and nurturing connections.
Fadi Yachoui is a Lebanese multidisciplinary architect and industrial designer based between Milano and Beirut developing projects in the field of architecture, interior, and product design in Italy, Beirut, Africa and the MENA region. Before establishing Atelier L’inconnu, he has garnered experience in various design offices in Beirut, Paris, London and Milan.
While architecture allows him to create places, it also presents him with the opportunity to build the components that populate them. The smaller scale and faster timeline kindled his interest, launching him into a sphere of cross disciplinary
Creation focused on process experience and craftsmanship. He considers everything in his daily life up to for participation in the theatre of his interventions, constantly projecting new stories onto individual objects and spaces, induces new stories onto individual objects and spaces, induced by his frequent travels and changes in context.
He studied architecture at the Lebanese American University in Lebanon and Ecole Speciale d’Architecture in Paris. Following graduation in 2013, he gained years of professional experience at Bernard Khoury / DW5 in Beirut and Piero Lissoni Associati in Milano before graduating with a Master’s degree in 2018 in Industrial Design from the Scuola Politecnica Di Design in Milano. In the same year he won the competition “express yourself for the famous Italian Lavazza coffee company.
In 2021, PH-13 project won the gold prize for the interior design category for MM award in Italy and was featured in international architectural and design platforms such as Vogue Italia and Archdaily.
Working recently on various architectural projects, bespoke furniture and designing a boat in Puglia, Italy he launched his brand L’inconnu at Milan Design Week’s 60th anniversary showcasing his latest CACTI collection which was selected amongst the highlights by the award winning luxury lifestyle magazine, wanted online.
