In between covering Middle Eastern refugee crises and social injustices, Lebanese journalist and documentary filmmaker Zeina Aboul-Hosn found herself behind a pottery wheel. She was attracted to the colour and feeling of Lebanese red clay, and particularly to the shape of bottles. She has been making bottles in Beirut for the last 3 years. The ‘Moonshine’ bottle is named after her houseboat in London, where she lived for almost a decade, and so joins her two homes in a special way. It is her first foray into the world of design. When not behind the wheel, she still covers refugee crises and social injustices for international organisations and broadcasters. She is based in Beirut.
